Paraprofessionals
 provide social, physical, and academic support in general and special education settings, including but not limited to the cafeteria, classrooms, recess, and assemblies. These services may include ambulatory, eating, toileting assistance, behavior management, academic interventions/enrichment, and data collection.

Pathways to becoming a paraprofessional with Orchard Farm School District.
     
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Each pathway will allow the applicant to obtain a Missouri Substitute Certification.
     - Have 36-60 credit hours from an accredited college/university OR
         Complete the 20 hour substitute certification course 

Paraprofessional Assessment through ETS pathway.  Must hold Associates of Arts, completed 2 years of college or demonstrated, through a state of local academic assessment, knowledgeable in reading, writing and math, and capable of assessing in classroom instruction.

Newly hired paraprofessoinals are reimbursed the cost of their substitute certificate application and fingerprinting if obtained within 30 days of hire.  Ongoing paraprofessionals are required to keep the obtained substitute certification, therefore, the district will reimburse the cost of the application and fingerprinting associated with ongoing certification while employed.
